Paul Thomson
Managing Director & Founder
Paul Thomson is the Founder and Managing Director of Thomson Environmental Systems, established in 1997. With more than three decades in environmental monitoring, he has built TES into a trusted provider of air quality, CEMS and ambient monitoring solutions across Australia and selected international markets.
Paul’s expertise spans continuous emissions monitoring systems, dust sampling, meteorological and advanced monitoring technologies. He has shaped TES’s product and market strategy while maintaining a strong focus on service reliability and long-term client partnerships. His leadership is grounded in technical integrity, mutual respect and enduring industry relationships. Paul remains actively engaged in guiding the strategic direction and continued development of the Group.
Paul Hatten
Executive General Manager
Paul Hatten is the Executive General Manager of Thomson Environmental Systems, responsible for operational performance, commercial growth and strategic alignment across the Group. He leads the integration of environmental instrumentation, data platforms and compliance assurance solutions, positioning TES as a long-term environmental infrastructure group supporting government and regulated industry.
With more than 25 years’ executive and Board-level leadership experience, Paul brings global operational and governance expertise within regulatory frameworks, strengthening TES’s organisational capability and commercial discipline. He works closely with the leadership team to align product, service and data into a cohesive operating model that supports sustainable growth across Australia and selected international markets.

Commercial & Operations Manager
Oversees operational performance and service delivery across Australia and New Zealand, ensuring projects are executed safely, efficiently and in line with client and compliance requirements. Brings extensive experience in environmental monitoring systems and emissions management, supporting disciplined operational standards across regulated environments. Focused on strengthening internal systems, team capability and consistent delivery outcomes.

Channel Manager – Ambient
Leads category development and channel growth across TES’s ambient air quality portfolio domestically and in selected international markets. Combines environmental engineering expertise with regulatory insight to align technical solutions with evolving compliance requirements. Supports long-term market expansion through structured partner engagement and disciplined category strategy.
Steve Chamberlain-Ward
Category Manager – CEMS & Process Monitoring | BDM Southern Region
Oversees TES’s CEMS and process monitoring category, supporting product strategy and market development within emissions and industrial monitoring environments. Brings extensive experience across instrumentation, technical product management and channel strategy. Works closely with regional clients to align category initiatives with long-term market opportunities.

Experience Manager
Sue Robinson is the Customer Experience Manager at Thomson Environmental Systems, bringing more than two decades of experience supporting clients and operational delivery. She oversees scheduling, service coordination and contract administration, ensuring calibrations, projects and service agreements are delivered efficiently, accurately and in alignment with client expectations across regulated industries.

Leads engineering design and product development across TES’s instrumentation portfolio. Responsible for advancing technical standards, reliability and structured development processes within environmental monitoring applications. Supply Chain Manager
Leads procurement strategy, inventory planning and supplier performance across the Group. Ensures materials and logistics align with project delivery timelines and commercial discipline. Focused on supply resilience, cost control and scalable operational support across domestic and international markets.
