Proud to see Nauru’s first Automated Weather Observing Station (AWOS) successfully designed, installed and commissioned by Thomson Environmental Systems — a major step forward for aviation meteorology in the Pacific.

The system uses a mix of premium technologies from global leaders such as OTT HydroMet, Biral UK and others, delivering real-time wind, temperature, humidity, pressure, visibility, lightning and cloud-base data to both NHMS and the Nauru ATC Tower.

This upgrade provides continuous, high-accuracy weather intelligence to support safer, more informed aviation operations.

A great example of Thomson Environmental Systems solutions in action and the impact of strong collaboration across government, industry, and our world-class technology partners.
